The way that Yankee Stadium is portrayed in the movie, The Bronx Is Burning is by being the center of it all, and what I mean by these is that it was the place of success and chaos of the 1977 New York Yankees and New York City. What the movie The Bronx Is Burning portrayed is how the 1977 New York Yankees came together to face there fears and hopes, it was an unforgettable season with Billy Martin and Reggie Jackson constantly fighting under the ownership of the very bossy George Steinbrenner. The New York Yankees gave hope to New Yorkers and distracted them from all the problems that New York City was facing. Some of those problems was the Son of Sam which was a serial killer who was going around the city killing people and the 1977 blackout that lead too the city suffering financial bankruptcy and a lot of layoffs. During the 1977 summer the Yankees came to represent hope, success, triumph, and a distraction from all these chaos. New York Yankees succeeded by winning the title of the 1977 World Series Champions.

As you may already know the name of the movie that I am using is The Bronx Is Burning which was made in July 2007. The movie depicts on the 1977 New York City and New York Yankees. The reason why I chose these movie was because it shows the conflicts and problems that the Yankees faced and also the city. Some of those problems were the bad relationship between Billy Martin and the super star Reggie Jackson and despite all that, at the end they all came together and accomplished there goal which was winning the 1977 World Series Championship

Yankee Stadium looked different in the year 1977 because in the previous year they had just moved into there remolded Stadium. Today Yankee Stadium looks different because just a few months ago the New York Yankees started the 2009 season in there new home across the street from the old stadium. Some Striking feature of the landmark that are shown in the movie is the cigarettes ads that they had in Yankee Stadium in the 1977 season which the government does not allow anymore, also when the Yankees won the world series in 1977, the fans when into the field and they was running and celebrating and the players had to run away from the fans that was running tours them. As I said before the reason why the scene of Yankee Stadium is the central of the movie is because is the setting or in other words the place where the center of it all, the drama, conflicts, chaos between Billy Martin and his players also the conflicts between Billy Martin and George Steinbrenner and the important games played by the Yankees that lead them to being successful and winning the world series championship in 1977. All of these things took place in a magical place where a lot of great things happened which was the Old Yankee Stadium.
